Mickey Rourke has left the Celebrity Big Brother house following a conversation with Big Brother over his behaviour, it has been revealed ahead of tonight's episode

Celebrity Big Brother housemate Mickey Rourke has departed the show after a confrontation with Chris Hughes during a shopping task sparked tension, it has been revealed ahead of tonight's episode. The news comes after it was announced last night that Mickey had left the show.

ITV confirmed the 72 year old actor's exit, stating that he had "agreed" to leave following "unacceptable behaviour". This decision came after Mickey had previously received a formal warning for using "offensive and unacceptable" language, which led to an apology to fellow housemate JoJo Siwa, 21.

According to reports, the final straw was a confrontation with Chris, 32, during a task, as well as the use of "inappropriate sexual language" towards Ella Rae Wise, 24, which was discussed in the Diary Room.

Mickey apologised to Big Brother before being asked to leave the house, reports the Mirror.

In today's episode spoilers, it's revealed his exit followed a pirate-themed task, with all housemates dressed up and in the garden.

JoJo, as the captain, asks, "Ahoy. How have things been going out here?" To which Trisha Goddard, 67, warns, "There is a rat amongst us, captain." JoJo instructs, "Step back in line, soldier."

The drama escalates when Chris, 32, breaks ranks to face Mickey, who confronts him demanding, "You looking at me?" JoJo reasserts authority with, "Ahoy. You're not the captain of this ship. Ahoy. Back up soldier."

Mickey aggressively tells Chris, "Don't eyeball me." Chris tries to explain, "Mickey it was a joke, f***ing ..." Mickey retorts, "Don't f***ing eyeball me. You c***."

Danny Beard, 32, intervenes to clarify, "He was joking. He was joking. He was joking."

When questioned, Chris insists, "F***ing stand there" and upon further pressure, reiterates to Mickey, "Mickey, it was a joke."

Amidst the tension between Mickey and Chris, Danny and Daley Thompson, 66, step in.

Subsequently, Big Brother commands: "This is Big Brother. Mickey, come to the Diary Room immediately." Mickey refuses, implying a showdown, "No, your a** will be right there in a second."

Despite resistance, Big Brother repeats the command and Mickey heads to the Diary Room. After a chat with Big Brother in the Diary Room about his behaviour, Mickey goes back to the garden and says sorry to Chris. He then heads into the house.

According to spoilers released by ITV, Chris tells the other housemates: "Mickey's just Mickey, you know what I mean."

Ella responds: "It's fine - you can be just someone, but be mindful of what it can trigger in other people, because it's made me feel very uneasy." Ella then mentions a comment Mickey made earlier that day.

In the Diary Room, Big Brother tells Mickey: "Mickey, Big Brother needs to speak to you about your behaviour. [...] Earlier today in a disagreement with Chris, your language and behaviour was threatening and aggressive. Big Brother does not tolerate threatening language or behaviour. In addition, you have used inappropriate sexual language to Ella."

Mickey says he wasn't aware of it, and Big Brother warns him that his language has caused offense to his fellow housemates and could do the same to the viewing public, noting that this isn't the first time they've had to speak to him about his language.

Known for his roles in classic films like '91⁄2 Weeks' (1986) and 'The Wrestler' (2008), the actor expressed remorse in the Diary Room, owning up to his actions as revealed by the latest spoilers.

It's reported he confessed to Big Brother about his embarrassment for "losing it", acknowledging that he is "ashamed".

Mickey confided in Big Brother: "Yes sir. I did wrong. I apologise. I'm sorry. I can't take it back, you know, I stepped over the line. And I take responsibility for doing the wrong thing. 'Cause I lost my temper, and I've been trying to work on it my whole life and I wish I would have had better self-control and I'm very sorry."

He added: "I'm ashamed of myself for losing it for a few seconds there. Nobody got touched or hurt. Maybe some feelings got hurt or maybe others have feelings about others getting upset but, you know, I'm sorry about that."

After his confession, the housemate was informed by Big Brother: "Big Brother considers your language and behaviour today to be seriously unacceptable and as a result Big Brother has no option but to ask you to leave the Big Brother house. [...] Mickey, is there anything else you'd like to say?".

Mickey expressed regret, saying: "I blame myself, I know it was my bad. You know, I've got a short fuse and I know I upset a lot of people out there, you know. And I'm sorry for that. I'm actually ashamed of myself for getting that hot. I went over the line, you know, I did wrong. I guess, like they say, I'm a work in progress. I just wanna pack my bags and leave, you know. I wanted to leave yesterday actually but I wasn't chosen."

Despite being at risk during the first eviction on Friday night, Mickey - who had been given a 'killer nomination' by JoJo - and Coronation Street's Jack P. Shepherd were not voted out. Instead, it was politician Michael Fabricant who became the first housemate to leave.
